Remember this nightstand I posted about {here}
while I was home in Michigan for Christmas?
It wasn’t quite finished then… but it is
now, & I wanted to show you the finished piece…
The journey of this lovely little nightstand…
I love the finished product… It really needed the hardware change
& the gray accents on the doors & drawer for that
extra pop of fabulous.
The gray panels in the front really tie in the stenciled top to
the rest of the piece.
I wanted to use the stencil on the front panels,
but the stencil was to large for the space.
I think the gray ties it in great though!
Did you see the other big change?
The hardware is now a satin nickel instead
of the antique brass.
The hardware made a huge difference
in the piece & I love it!
The stencil I used is from Cutting Edge Stencils in the
design ” Casablanca all over stencil”.
I used a roller to paint the gray over the blue.
The stencil is very sturdy & allowed there not to be any
paint drips or mistakes.
Tip: I taped the stencil down to keep it in place as I worked.
It helped the stencil to not move as I rolled the paint on.
Also you can use a level to make sure that the stencil
is strait & level before you paint.
I love how a stencil & some paint made this
bland nightstand into a quirky little piece
of furniture that would make a statement
in any room.
So what do you think of this little nightstand?
Do you love the change?
Let me know what you think….
