Cozy Porch Beginnings

It’s been so hot here in NC, I’m talking when you walk outside you feel like you hit a brick wall of heat. I don’t know how the weather has been by you, but I’m ready for fall weather!! Call me crazy, but I love the cold & wearing layers, snuggling, hot apple cider, football games, I’m just not down for sweating everyday. So in order to bring the fall her to Eastern NC now that it’s September, I took a few minutes this weekend to bring fall into our home & to our porch. I also spent an unhealthy amount of time smelling fall scented candles in Bath & Body Works today. It’s normal. I think. I will be sharing our fall dining room with you all next week & also our full porch later, but I wanted to share with you a little something that I played around with for our front porch today…

Many of you remember this long church pew that we have on our front porch, and by long I mean over 11 feet. One of my favorite finds ever & picking it up and driving it home in my jeep was one of the funniest moments Mr. LMB & I have had while thrifting. The hubs now makes me ask for measurements before we pick things up. Party pooper. Anyways I put some of my favorite pillows from The Little Boston Print Shoppe on the bench with an antique afgan. To top off this church pew of mine I set our “G” from Vintage Marquee Lights on it. I am seriously in love with this light & I’m sure it will move a few times before it’s “settled”, but for now it’s bringing a lot of rustic charm to our fall bench. I will actually be doing a whole photo shoot with a bunch of these vintage marquee lights around our house soon so I’m sure you will be seeing a lot more of these lights later on around our home…
