Do you ever have something random that you do around the house that is so small, but somehow makes a big difference? I wasn’t even going to show this project because of it’s simplicity level & how random it was, but I loved it so much that I had to share on here. Prepare for simplicity & lots of fun-ness {not a word? on this blog it is!} from elements that you probably have lying around your house. Here is how I made my simple DIY wire & drop cloth planter…
Mkay… So I started with a basket {I removed the handle with a pliers} After that I took a scrap piece of drop cloth I had lying around. I folded the drop cloth over on the top to about the size I wanted the overhang on the basket to be. I then took the folded piece of drop cloth & dropped it into the wire basket. After it was in the basket I pulled the folded part over the side of the basket so it hung over & played around with the excess drop cloth in the bottom of the basket so that it would look good from the outside of the basket. I also added wrapping paper to the bottom of the basket so that my flower pot of succulents would have something to sit higher up on. After that fiasco was over, I put in my pot o’ succulents and adjusted the drop cloth to kind of hide the sides of the flower pot. & just in case you wanted to know, the pot is from Michaels, along with the pebbles & succulents { You can see that post on the DIY succulent planter HERE }
& this little lovely planter sits on our TV stand, which also got a big makeover this week that I will be able to share with you shortly {waiting on a few things… darn} So what do you think of the planter? Have you done something like this before? I would love to hear from you! Leave a comment below, find me on Instagram, or chat with me on Facebook. Have a great day!!
