We did a little work in our office in the new house this weekend. By a little work, I mean we picked up the home decor on the floor and tried to find places for it. When we moved into this house a week ago this room was kind of the “catch all” room where all the home decor went that we had no place for. We still have a little work to do in the space, some organizing, some decorating, some cleaning, and some DIY, but this is what it was looking like through the lens of my cellphone as we worked on it this weekend…
While I was planning out the layout of the office. Bear found a comfy place on the new desk. Such a weird little dog. The desk was thrifted from a local antique store & I’m kind of in love with it.
There is art still lying around, random stools, & the desk has to be decorated, but among the chaos, it’s starting to look like a lovely office! The paint color in the office was there when we moved in {this is a rental so we will not be painting.} I am unsure of the paint color at the moment, but I was excited for the challenge because we all know that I am usually a white wall girl.
I thrifted this green chair this weekend as we were out and about & I think I’m in love! My original plan was to clean it up & paint it, but I’m starting to think I should keep it this color & simply clean the chair up & keep the lovely green. What are your thoughts? The trunk will be moving up to the guest bedroom upstairs soon, we didn’t feel like doing much heavy lifting this weekend.. I’m sure you can relate.
We started styling the shelves in the room. The shelves are actually in all 4 corners of the room & they are floor to ceiling. For now we will only be styling the back two shelves because let’s face it, I do not have enough knick knacks… yet.
As always the pups help us with all of our decorating adventures. Some were more excited about it than others. The artwork behind Bella is a DIY I made from a print I found online.. more on that later on the blog.
So what do you think of our office so far? I have some organizing, cleaning, and styling to do, but I am loving this space so far. You can see the first room reveal in our new home {here}. Can’t wait to show you the final reveal of the office until then let me know what you think of it in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram! xx
ps. I shared my heart yesterday on the blog about mothers with angel babies, you can read it {here}. & I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for the comments on the blog, Facebook, & Instagram, emails, messages & more. I was so touched!! My mother’s day was amazing. I woke up to flowers, coffee, & a beautiful hand written note in a card that made me cry. Church was peaceful, we went for a lovely mother’s day lunch, & the rest of the day was spent napping, working on projects with my love in our new basement, and walking downtown with the dogs & playing at the park. It was such a wonderful day & I couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing husband I was blessed with that cherishes our Angel babies & wants to celebrate them. I hope you all had an amazing day!! xx

Hi! Love this daybed. We recently inherited one from my in laws and I am struggling to find a quilt like this. I like how this one looks thinner than a heavy quilt and hands off and onto the ground. What size is his one and where is it from?
Thank you!
tyvm!
