Ok, I can’t be the only one here that does this, so I’m just going to say it…. I scroll through Instagram late at night & shop. That feels good to get off my chest. I find myself scrolling and finding pretty things that just magically end up in our farmhouse. That happened this past weekend when I was scrolling and came across one of my new favorite vintage rug shops, The Southern Loom. Her shop is filled with gorgeous vintage rugs & I spotted one that just had to come to White Cottage Farm. The best part? I ordered it on Saturday, she shipped it that day, & I had it in my hands by Thursday morning… Now that’s service!
Here she is!! I photographed it in our bedroom today, but I’m not sure this is the room she will go in, but it’s a possibility for sure because she looks pretty in here if I do say so myself. though the room is not finished yet this room is bright and cozy already for sure & this rug just makes the room even cozier. This rug has so much gorgeous details & not one flaw that I could find which is just shocking to me. This is my first online vintage rug purchase so I was a little nervous, but The Southern Loom made it an amazing experience for sure. I don’t think she knows who I am… but I’m one of her new biggest fans!
I’ll keep the rug here for a little bit & try it in a few different places in the room, but as always you know I will keep you updated on where this baby ends up in our house. What do you think of her? Do you have vintage rugs in your home? Have you purchased one online? I highly recommend The Southern Loom if you are looking!! Thank you guys SO MUCH for stopping by the blog today & every day to see what we are up to.. it means the world to me! xx

I really like how the new bedroom decor is coming along! Especially that new bed.
Just a thought- Have you considered a different frame for the picture above the bed? Maybe something a little more ornate or an interesting shape in gold or white? The dark frame almost feels too harsh and too modern for the other elements in the room. Thanks for sharing your progress with us!
The rug has an Aztec look/feel (to me at least). Not what I expected for a farmhouse look. But hey, if you’re happy, who am I to judge ?
Dead. This rug is perfection, and I LOVE it in this room!!!! So crazy about the direction your room is going.. proud of you that everything isn’t white! Haha ?
Hi Liz, First off, Gorgeous! This room screams Farmhouse! With the rug, yes, it has a Navajo, theme, but that is what Farmhouse is all about. Gathered treasures always fill a Farmhouse, or any home for that matter, a home should be filled with loved found treasures, and beloved items, which is why it’s not pulled together in an instant. It takes years usually, and is an organic thing. In most cases. I love what you’ve done here, it’s very simple. I’m assuming the loveseat is opposite the bed? I will say, I adored your bedroom before, it was one of my favorite rooms, but this is what you do, you restyle, you refresh, you own a shop, and shop owners keep it fresh. It’s part of merchandising, beautifying. The grey tone you chose is gorgeous, not subtle, much deeper than the softer shades around these days, and works perfectly with your accessories, picture, and rug. This is a room to sleep, relax in and cozy up in. Very often, we have to remove all the extra goodies, clutter and get down to simple beauty. Love it, you did a wonderful job. And Jose too, you’re a great team.
That rug was made for this room ????????. Loving how this room is coming together.
I’m crushing 9n the green throw on your couch. Where is it from?
To me, your style is definitely changing and evolving at the moment and it is really interesting to come along for the ride! The rug wouldn’t have been my choice but you are the expert and I love reading your blog every day – you are my biggest interior inspiration❤️
Liz. The whole room is gorgeous!! The rug is like the icing on a beautiful cake!! It’s perfect! ????? I love the color pallets you have used! Stunning!!
Beautiful as always!!!
Pure Heaven. #PureMichigan
Is it a bad thing to say, “I covet your rug!”? It’s the absolute truth! I have long held to the premise that “the rug makes the room”. Your rug is THE one I’ve been searching for, desperately wanting for our master bedroom! Those beautiful, muted colors, the thickness, the pattern, the size of the rug are what I’ve yearned for. Interestingly, our bedroom and our entire home for that matter have an eclectic design. Your rug is so versatile, it works in your “French cottage” style (am I correct) or another room in your home as you hinted, an eclectic design, a farmhouse style and I think even a transitional style room. Thank you for sharing “The Southern Loom”, I headed right over! BTW, it’s been a while since I’ve visited, I hope you are taking good care of you and focusing on all of the wonderful, creative, generous and loving qualities that make Liz Marie…lovely Liz Marie.
Love. Love. Love. I can sit here all day staring at your home and farm and all those cute animals. I do have a question. Do you have window coverings for your bedroom windows?
I’m dead. It’s the most beautiful rug. It’s so good, i just can’t. So happy to see this added layer!
It’s just gorgeous!! Love the rug….the mirror….the throw….well…i love it all!!
Could you be more dramatic, lol.
Hi Liz – can you please tell me where I can find the grey washed wood bed ?
Thanks
The bedroom looks great. I usually find your decor right up my alley but I’m not caring for the rug at all. To me it’s very South West, Aztec Look. Not like your crisp white farm home look.
I love the rug. Perfect. The mirror is too 1940’s you need another.
I love everything you and Jose do Liz! May I ask the color on that gorgeous antique dresser mirror? It appears as an olive green on my computer. It’s definitely a WOW statement with the sofa and the throw. #love
