Y’all. I can’t believe we were lucky enough to back to Magnolia Market! Well, this was my third time at Magnolia & Jose’s first time. He had heard me talk about this place so much & how I had met Chip & Jo & just fell in love with them that he had to see it for himself. You see, we were in Dallas for a trip with EZ-Go [which I’ll share a lot more about later] & we were only a couple hours from Waco… so of course we had to make a trip to visit the Silos! Right when we got there as always, God met me there. This is what I saw right when I walked through the doors…
Imagine you just went through a really dark time & came to @Magnolia in hopes that it would lift your spirits & you walk through the door & this is the first thing you see. IMAGINE THAT. On the way up the steps to the shop I was just thinking wow I would be really hot right now with my big baby bump & we would probably know the gender… & those thoughts stung pretty bad, but as soon as I opened the door and looked to my left… this is what I read & I said to God in my head, “I know. I am ready.” This infertility journey is the hardest journey I’ve ever been on though I’ve been on a few hard ones… but I know I was made ready. God has given me the ability to endure this, God has given me the knowledge that He is blessing us beyond measure through all of this, & I know that God is here on this journey… I am not alone. Joanna had this to say about this quote: “joannagainesI believe that we’re all made ready. Whatever season you’re in, whatever life may throw at you, whether it feels like success or like failure, expected or unexpected, you are made ready. Made ready to learn, to celebrate, to endure. To handle all of the things that get thrown your way in every season and to know yourself and take stock of your resources—of all the beautiful things you’re already made of.” Couldn’t agree more @joannagaines! I hope this inspires you as much as it did me.. no matter what your journey looks like right now, you have been made ready!
After that I was inspired by every single thing in the shop from the displays to the products to the people. Can I tell you how many of you guys I met at the Silos?! I was shocked, but then I was like of course my people would be hanging out there! I had so much fun meeting some of you and chatting… It’s always so good to be able to meet in person because sometimes when everything I share is online I miss that connection. Anyways, that was wonderful & I’m so grateful for you guys in every season of life. Funny how a shop in the middle of Waco Texas can give you all the feels right?
Every inch of this place always makes my brain explode with inspiration. Every inch of the store is perfectly curated & light literally shines from all the spaces…. the Magnolia team is truly gifted & that’s why this store is such a destination… oh, and the cupcakes. I’m forever thankful for all my experiences at Magnolia including the time I was prayed for on the rooftop at Magnolia that you can read about [HERE]. I’m telling you every time I come here magic happens big & small… If you haven’t visited I highly recommend at least spending a day at the silos. I highly recommend the crepe truck & Alabama Sweet tea while you are there & spending a lot of time wandering the gardens & sitting out on the lawn in the cozy chairs.
I’ve said it before, but walking through this shop did more than inspire me… it breathed new life into me. I know that might so crazy to those who cups aren’t filled the same way mine is, but mine is filled walking around beautiful spaces & looking at beautiful things. Magnolia literally is the most beautiful so my cup was instantly full the second I stepped in the shop.
The thing I was most excited about while visiting the silos was that they had all the fall things out!! Fall foliage, fall decor, fall textures, & just all things cozy. I feared since we were going in August that we would miss the new fall line, but we got lucky & we got to experience it the week it launched. It made our visit extra special to see all the new fall displays and vignettes to feel inspired about the new season coming quickly our way. Another thing I was super excited for was that we happened to be in Waco the days they were holding a warehouse sale at their old shop [where Magnolia all started] & I’ve always wanted to see it! We shopped the sale & got a few great finds there for a super good price. I highly recommend visiting Waco on a warehouse sale day & visiting both locations!!
Jose and I only spent one day in Waco & of course we visited The Findery, Linen & Cake, & we ate at Coach’s BBQ [Get the Pig & Potato…highly recommend it!], but I will blog more about that later this week. These shops deserve their own little post & I didn’t want to overwhelm you today with too many photos, but I hope this post inspires you in some small way for your home decor & much more. As always, THANK YOU for stopping by the blog today & every day to see what we are up to. Also, if you want to see more of our Waco trip be sure to check back later this week to see more of what we did & what inspired us. xx
I had been planning to go to Waco earlier in the week and when I saw you were making a stop there too I was so excited!! I even told my husband about how I wanted to meet you 🙂
Unfortunately we missed you because we went on Saturday.
Magnolia was beautiful this trip. I was so worried the fall line may not be out yet.. while I was walking around inside my husband text me asking if the fall things were out because he knew how disappointed I would be if it wasn’t out yet. Hahaha
So sorry I missed you.
I love your blog.
I love all the pictures you take for all of us that can’t make the trip…I am obsessed with Chip and Jo 🙂 So thank you for always sharing…I also must tel you I am hoked on your blog and have been for a few wks now…I check in everyday and have spent hours going through your old post. I wish nothing, but the best for you and your husband and am so sorry for all of your losses. Take care and keep up the good work!
Oh, Sweet Liz,
I too believe you arrived at the right time in the right place to set your eyes upon that beautifully created message.
So Happy Jose was with you to experience this transitional moment.
Peace, Love & Harmony to You Both❣

Sweet Liz,
What a beautiful blessing to be able to go back to the atmosphere where you felt such eternal love in your soul from our Papa above???? I pray you were able to relax in your element and I’m so stinkin excited to see all your heavenly creations for fall. I continue to pray for your gorgeous heart and also for the Lord to touch Jośe and give him comfort also , as you walk together.
Sweet Liz, you have truly changed the things I am grateful for, and I LOVE YOUR WARRIOR SPIRIT- GOD BLESS YOU Honey-
Ann M.
I need to make another trip down there. I would have loved to meet you, Liz. I wish we could have had a meet and greet with you in DFW. Love what you’re doing in your living room.
Well looking at the first “you have been made ready” quote, I got teary eyed. We are just starting a new chapter that I think will be a struggle. Seeing that reminded me He is with me and has walked it before me. Thanks for posting that. We will be heading back to the Silos in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to it and seeing all the inspiration! Fall is my absolute fave! And oh my – all those paint brushes! Goodness me. Incredible.
Oh I want to go there so badly! The store looks so pretty that I can spend hours there!

My husband and i visited The Silos earlier this summer. It was a spur of the moment trip and I couldn’t believe I was getting to go. God met us there!! I felt just as you did…inspired by everything. And most of all the kindness of everyone. I needed that so much!! There is something so special about The Silos and Waco. My heart went there needing to be loved on and it was. It will be a trip I will not forget!! love that God gave you the extra little gift of getting to see all the Fall decor!! Be blessed!!!
Is not cool that the Lord meets us, so encouraged by your encouragement. All the photos are great!!! Love all the falll decor, can’t wait to go check it out too. Love you both
Hi hon ! Did you know that Carter o is a chosen to Kathryn Thomas,s wife. J.d.b sr
Even the way the paint brushes are styled….wowzers! Amazing!
I’ve never been to Taxes, and could hardly imagine my ultimate reason to visit it would ever be a shop. Your post along with all the comments is inspiring enough to take a go. Judging from reviews, this place must be divinely magical. The photos depict so much cosiness… I’ll check out the enchanting Magnolia market, perhaps during the Silobration this October. Thanks for sharing.
