Hey guys! Don’t get too scared when you read the title with the word Holiday in it already! Its not that serious trust me.So, recently Jose and I took a trip up to Mackinaw and Jose’s parents stayed at our home to watch the farm while we were out. Days ahead of our trip we went full prep mode, to make sure it was ready for people to stay here. You all know, you get a little anxious when you are having people stay over if its not something you do often… especially your mother-in-law. So we tidied up our house and got it ready for them to head over for an extended weekend. Living in a fixer-upper, all of our extra spaces aren’t always ready for guests to stay at all times & if you frequent the blog, you know I am a furniture/home decor hoarder, I mean collector, and it’s not too difficult to scour my “collection” and put a cozy extra space together for our guests. Jose told me, its a good thing you have all that stuff… which got me thinking, with the holiday’s coming up, some of you may have some overnight guests, hopefully scheduled and you are aware of, but nonetheless, planned or not, you may be looking for inexpensive ways to decorate extra spaces in your home to accommodate your guests. Here are some of my favorite items from home decor to furniture to quickly cozy up a space, without being too costly on your holiday budget. Whether it’s to organize a space quickly and affordably or to add additional furniture to accommodate your guests here are a few that I’m loving right now….
Ps. I’m doing a giveaway from this post on my Instagram! Head on over to @LizMarieGalvan on Instagram [HERE] to enter! Also, I worked with Walmart on this post, all content in this blog are of my own.
I am already freaking out about the holidays. Only because it’s a major move of furniture etc to accommodate trees and decorations. At the end of the day I would still do it. It’s a lot of work and makes the house very warm and cozy and exciting. This year I’m struggling with what to do. I like it to be different and I’m looking at Pinterest, Instagram and lots of Christmas and fall magazines for decorating ideas. Hopefully I’ll know soon. Thanks for sharing these items. I need a new rug!

Set the table with an element that provides some contrast in the space. A pop of colors works wonders. Baccarat tabletop items bring a classic dose of glamour and their signature red is perfect holiday hue.
