Welcome to the blog! Thank you so much for buying my book and I hope you are enjoying it so far! You have stopped here because you want to learn how to build your own Tub Tray! It is very simple and such a fun DIY that will bring you so much joy in one of the most relaxing places in the world, your tub!
The Tray itself can be anything from brand new pieces of wood attached together, an antique sign that you found at a vintage market, or some old barn wood you picked from a local farm, regardless the build is the same. Start with measuring the width of your tub. Add one to two inches depending on the room around your tub or the interior ledges.

I really like tub trays to be between 10 and 14 inches. This is completely preference and depends on what you see sitting on your tray.

Next, install the handles. The handles can be anything from an antique find to a brand new drawer handle or pull. Placement of your tray handles should be center (from front to back).

The last step and most important step. Draw you bath and figure out what you are going to put on your tub tray. I love turning the lights off, lighting a cozy candle and maybe playing a little music. Or maybe catching up on me newest edition of Magnolia Journal.
The Tools that you will need for this DIY:
Drill
Tape Measure
Drill Bits
Miter Saw
Table Saw (if needed)
This is a very simple DIY that anyone can do and can be done in minutes. You can pick between a variety of different materials like wood to tile and whatever your can think of. I hope are feeling all of the cozy vibes from the book and this DIY.
