BIG REVEAL! I just realized I never shared on the blog that we tore out the closet that was underneath our stairs. For our family, it wasn’t super practical to have this closet here and we never used it. So amongst a few other renovation projects, we decided to take it out and create this entryway cove. The space isn’t finished yet as we have to trim it out, paint it, & finish up the stair details, but you know I had to decorate it anyways for fall!

When I was searching around for some inspiration for styling the space under the stairs I really couldn’t find much. I don’t see people taking out under their stairs often but it was super easy to remove and makes this space so much more practical for our family. Most of the time under the stairs it’s either walled off or not used, but removing the wall below the stairs really opened up the entryway & this antique bench I had was the perfect fit. Since I didn’t see many people doing this with their stairs I wanted to share this with you guys so you can get some inspiration if you decide to do it in your home as well! I will of course be back to show you again once it’s all finished.. the before and after should be really fun to see!

We wanted to create a cozy welcome for our guests and I absolutely love this entryway cove. I’ve been dreaming up the perfect spot for this bench and who knew I would find it when I tore out the closet. This bench fits perfectly in the cove under the stairs and is the perfect cozy entryway! Of course, I had to add some touches of fall so I threw in a few pumpkins, a bunch of cozy pillows, and this antique deer mount. The pillows are by ‘From Susie’ [HERE] & I’m so obsessed with the fall vibe they add with the textures and colors from leather to the pops of orange and blue.

Just by adding a few real pumpkins in the entryway it’s instantly a cozy fall nook. This little space kind of has a modern cabin vibe and I’m loving it… the only thing I think I should have added is a plaid throw! What do you think? Do any of you style the space under your stairs? I’d love to see what you’ve done with it! I’m really excited to keep styling new looks in this cove & give you guys even more inspiration. Thank you so much for visiting the blog today and every day! P.S. In love with that bench. I seen it at your market a few years ago and wanted it. But there was already a sold tag in it. Next day or so you shared it on your stories that you bought it. So.. if you ever want to part with it. Name the price and I would love to take it over and make it a staple piece in my home ❤️
