I thoroughly enjoyed decorating our historic rental for the Holidays. Every single corner of it. Even though we are moving this week. decorating our rental for Christmas was something I loved doing & I’m so thankful that we can remember these days in our rental with it decorated for the holidays. One of the spaces in our rental that I decorated was our day bed room. This room is off of our dining room & it’s basically a hallway that connects the bathroom, basement, & an outdoor door to the rest of the house. Many naps have happened on this daybed & it really is a calming space. I wanted to keep the Christmas decor in this room super neutral & relaxed. Simple neutral Christmas decor was the name of the game.
This faux fur blanket from Target really sets the mood over the vintage white linens on the daybed. It adds that cozy touch & trust me this blanket is the best nap blanket on the market. All the pillows on the bed are super neutral & my favorite one is the “Im so fancy” pillow from House of Belonging. The chalkboard art was drawn by that handsome husband of mine who was blessed with every talent under the sun including good handwriting. The window valance is simply a burlap sack that I tacked on the window to hide the blinds & the rug is a simple runner from Marshalls.
It’s simple. It’s rustic. & it’s cozy. Three of my favorite design words. It really shows how simple decorating for christmas can really be. What do you think of this space? What is your favorite part? Do you enjoy neutral Christmas decor? Let me know what you think in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram! xx
