There is a wall in our lower level living room that has been bugging me since the day we moved in 5 months ago. It’s not anywhere near completion, but I finally have some progress & stuff on the walls so that makes me super happy. I wanted to share my progress with you today & some of the things I have added to the big empty wall in our cozy lower level living room…
The doors were bought from a lovely friend of mine who had them lying around & we simply placed them behind the couch. We plan on either removing the hardware or changing it out, or maybe even changing the doors out with another option, but for now we are using these like this. The office sign was a lovely find from Painted Fox [here] & I’m obsessed with it. Our office is actually directly on the other side of this sofa in the direction that the arrow is pointing. Seriously perfect & I think it adds the perfect touch. I’ve played around with adding a wreath or something else, but again, this is how it looks for now & it’s a big improvement from a white wall. The plants hanging on the side of the door are plant & plant hangers from Ikea.
Our Ikea couches are still going strong which you can read about [here] & the end table was a Target table makeover that you can read about [here]. Our coffee table was a world market makeover [here] & the rug is from Rugs USA which you can read the review about [here]. The solid pillows on the couch are from Ikea & the plant on the end table, the terrarium with plants, & the stripe pillows are from Marshalls.
Our new office sign inspired this new little vignette in our home & I’m so excited about it! I’m thinking a few thoughts like painting the doors, switching out the doors, adding items, ect. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram.
The only thing I’d change is the hardware! These look great there and add some texture and interest to that wall. I have an old door propped in a corner of my daughter’s apartment dining area and it’s so cute…we change what we hang on it every time I visit her because I’m like you and love to change things (often) and my sweet daughter lets me have fun in her space!!! ~Kim
I think the doors would look great with just a little hardware change… Either black or oil rubbed bronze or knobs painted the French blue color that you did the dresser in. You could also paint the entire door in the French blue color for a more bold statement.
love it Liz! and how perfect that your office is truly in that direction! perfect!

I love the doors! I love The Painted Fox, they have the best stuff!
