Happy Friday friends! OH MAN. Lately around here it’s been a blur. There isn’t a day with a list a mile long of things to do, deadlines, work, school, projects, home renovation, exterior house makeover, booth, trip to Boston twice in a few weeks, & of course we love & need to make time with our family & friends for our sanity because they are the ones that care about us the most & the other way around & this time is filled with family & friend events which has been fun but busy. It’s just been a blur here, but that’s ok because we love what we do & we love that we are now home with family & that makes it all worth it. No complaints here at all. Besides one, I wish that I had more time to blog.. like 7 days a week haha. But 4 times a week is good right? haha I’ve missed telling you guys about a lot lately like some projects that have gone unseen, some fun moments, & some personal moments too, I always want to come here & share what we are up to because you guys matter in my life too. You are always there to cheer us on, help us out, give advice, & just be our friends. I hope you like coming here & seeing what we are up to as well. It means a lot to us that you take time to stop by & read this little blog & read about our little life even when it’s chaotic & nothing I say makes sense. We all have those times right? I wanted to say thank you guys for leaving comments & emailing, & for just being here I wanted to let you know that I appreciate all of you even if life gets busy.. you guys rock & I want you to know I’m always thankful that you love it here on the blog too. I wanted to stop in here quick today to share with you two fun things that I have done in the past two weeks that I didn’t want to miss telling you guys about & that is the Bloom Workshop here in Grand Rapids & the grand opening of West Elm here in Grand Rapids. We do love our city, but for those of you who don’t live in our area that are West Elms everywhere & the Bloom Workshop travels as well around the country which is cool too!
First up is the Bloom Workshop. I actually was on the panel for the workshop & got to speak & answer questions about my love for blogging, how I got started, & all that fun stuff, but I also attended the workshop all day & got to learn a lot too! The creators Michaela & Ashley really know what they are doing & truly made the day a fun learning experience. No matter how long I blog for there is always always more to learn & room to grow so this conference really took me back to my roots & basics of blogging that I had lost along the way. I am no pro photographer as you see here on the blog. Even though I do share a lot of photos [some say I’m an over-sharer of photos. sorry!] it doesn’t mean that I’m good, it just means that I love photos more than I love words. In person I can talk your ear off, but for some reason I don’t think I’m that great with words on here. I don’t know.. always something to learn. Anyways, they had a photography portion that was really awesome too & showed me a few new tricks on my camera. Now if someone could teach me photoshop. Am I the only blogger who doesn’t use photoshop for my photos? The answer: most likely. lol. Here is a little glimpse of my day. As seen in cell phone photos & camera photos:
Then there was the grand opening of the West Elm in our city this week which is probably not good for my wallet, but great for our casa.. can I get an amen? Anyways, I was asked along with my lovely friend Abbey to attend a blogger preview before the VIP party at night which was really fun. We got to see the store & get the tour. I never knew the thought process & everything that went in to West Elm like where they source their products from & I encourage you to look it up because it’s all very interesting & it will make you fall in love with them even more. I also love that in each store they have a local artist section which I know we all love our home state so that’s always a favorite. Here is a glimpse of that fun day in photos & thank you West Elm for being so hospitable & for coming to Grand Rapids!
There are those two days in a nutshell. They were so fun & I’m thankful that I got the opportunity to attend each one. I think I said thankful like 90 times in this post, but I mean it. I’m thankful & I could shout it from the roof tops. If you have missed something that I’ve been up to lately click [here], & if you want to hear a podcast I just did full of interesting things about me & how I started blogging click [here], & be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram to keep up with me daily. Love you guys! xx
Dear Liz, I’m new to commenting on your blog but visit everyday! Your blog is like my morning tea. The photos you share are awesome and as an over sharer myself, I encourage you to keep snapping away! On a personal note, I noticed you mentioned you were busy with “work”. I always assumed LMB was your full time job. Do you work a typical “9-5 as well? (My apologies in advance if that question is intrusive).
Ah Bloom it was so awesome. I was the one who said I read your blog everyday but I was too afraid to say hello later.
I think West Elm could be very dangerous! I’m going to have to see if there are any down my way.
PS the math to post so early is hard on the brain – just kidding
I don’t use Photoshop or Lightroom. I’m a cave-girl blogger 😉
Love all the gorge pics!!
Hope you can take a deep breath soon!! xo
So happy you’ve been such a busy bee! Isn’t life just full of surprises?!? Loving all your pictures!!
Really loved the pics!!
