I have been keeping something from you guys. Not on purpose, but just because I never really had a moment to say anything. I keep telling you guys that I’m so busy, but never telling you everything that I’m up to. When I moved here to Michigan 9 months ago Mr. LMB & I opened up a booth here at a store called Painted Farmgirl & we have LOVED having a booth there. Well, another BIG thing I have done since moving home to Michigan is joined a group of 5 ladies & started up an amazing market called the Painted Farmgirl Flea. Yes, that’s right! It’s a bi-anual market with 150+ unique vintage & handmade vendors, food trucks, live music, paint demonstrations, classes & more. I am so proud of this market & this next one is going to be our biggest one yet. Some of the most talented people will be at this market & some are coming from states away to join us. The market this fall is coming up quick & it is September 26th at the Hudsonville Fairgrounds here in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area from 9-3pm.
I didn’t know what was going to happen when we moved here to Michigan, but so many exciting things have happened in my creative business world & this is just one of those things. Planning the market as been tons of work daily, but I love it. It’s all worth it to me & I thank God for putting this opportunity at my feet. I never knew I would be part of a group in charge of a market, but this was a happy life surprise. Here are a few photos some vendors have shared so far of some things they are bringing to the market. Of course I can’t share photos on this post from 150+ vendors, but you get the idea. You can see more updates about the market on the event page [HERE] People have been pickin’ & makin’ & here is a small sample of that…
This is seriously just a small sample of what is going to be there. As we get closer to the Farmgirl Flea more items will be posted to the event page & a lot more sneak peeks. We have everything from handmade signs, vintage, rust, fine antiques, metal, industrial, painted furniture, vintage clothes, handmade kids clothes & toys, vintage linens, primitives, salvaged items, handmade jewelry, camper corral with lots of cute vintage campers, barn doors, hard cider, food trucks, live music, baked goods, art, pumpkins, mums, hay bales, fall decor, one of kind custom furniture, home decor, & so much more. I’m serious when I say that it’s going to be the best market around & that I am so proud of the team & all of the hard work. I hope to see some of you there.. I’ll be the crazy person running around in flannel hopped up on caffeine… haha see you then!
Ps. We would LOVE if you share the event page & our flyer with all of your friends!! The more the merrier & we would hate for anyone to miss out on this day. Thank you so much for all of your support near & far.. it means so much!! We are also on a waiting list for vendors, but more may be opening up soon as we expand our area if you are a vendor you can email us at PaintedFarmgirlMarket@gmail.com.

Oh.my.goodness. SUCH GOOD STUFF!!! Is there a source to order those pillows?!? As a kid growing up in Michigan, my next door neighbor was the head groundskeeper for Greenfield Village–spent MANY fun times there and would love to get that one! (Oh, and a UofM one, too!)
Awesome! Can’t wait to go! Looks like there will be tons of good stuff there!
My mom and I are planning to be in GR that weekend for Art Prize. I also planned for my first visit to the Painted Farmgirl. You wouldn’t believe my excitement when I found out about the market earlier this week! I am so excited we will see you bright and early Saturday!!!
I really wish I could come to this, but we’ll be away for the entire weekend. I came to the one in the spring and it was fantastic.
How exciting!! I did shows/markets with my parents for years and it really is SO much work, but a blast too! Wish I lived closer! XO
I wish I lived closer! I’d be there for sure
I love that one of the items listed that will be available is just, “rust”. hahaha.
Wow! Soooo many great images and items. Look slike you have a fantastic thing on your hands. Keep it up!
Looooove the circular hello signs!!! Is there any way to order one to send to California? Soo cute!!
I wish I lived closer! Saw a few things that I would love to have. Maybe a road trip is in order! Good luck on the event. I shared it on my Facebook page.

I wish I lived near Michigan – that is gorgeous stuff! Is there an online source for the “thankful” and “gather” little signs, and for the “Give thanks with a grateful heart” sign? Thanks! 🙂
