Colorful Surprise
I know I know I know, you all need a minute to catch your breath. This is the most color you have seen on Liz Marie Blog in years. You are so right, I hardly ever play with these bright pops of color, but let me tell you a little something about yours truly. I really do love color & I love pops of color in design. We just choose a more neutral pallet for our own home. Every once in a while I like to step out of that & play around with color in our own home. What better time to do that than with my latest find at Marshalls, these velvet pumpkins. I’m obsessed. I always see everyone with them on the internet using them in their homes & wanted the chance to play around with them too. Here is the fall dining room look I came up with around these lovely colorful velvet pumpkins…
Pop’s of Color at a Good Price
Oh my goodness! So much color & I’m not even mad. If this little dining room of ours doesn’t scream fall I don’t know what does. I chose to bring in color with not only the velvet pumpkins I found at Marshalls, but also some orange pillows from Homegoods & that lovely yellow gather pillow from Target. A little secret? Those flannel throws are actually scarves! Great dual purpose & a cheap way to add to your fall decor to use scarves you already had lying around like the one I had from Oh Abigail. That chalkboard at the top of the pie safe? It’s an old headboard. Another great repurpose!
The Plan of Action
The centerpiece, although packed with pumpkins, is actually a simple centerpiece made up of a burlap table runner from World Market, some candlesticks from Target, & of course those velvet pumpkins. I know a lot of people get concerned about centerpieces and removing them when it’s time to eat. My plan of action? Throw them all in a basket that’s in the dining room & put them all back on the table after. Super easy & takes less than 5 minutes.
It wouldn’t be a Liz Marie Blog post without an overload of photos, but with all this color in this dining room can you blame me? Don’t answer that. Seriously guys I had so much fun playing with all of this color for fall. What do you think of my velvet pumpkin fall dining room? I think I love it. & I dedicate it to all of you color loving friends of mine out there… this one is for you! Let me know what you think in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. As always… THANK YOU for stopping by my little blog & sharing it with your friends.. it means so much to me.xx

I’m loving what you’ve done with the dining room! I’ve always liked neutral decor, which is one of the reasons I love your blog so much, but I like to have little pops of color once in a while. And this is FABULOUS! You’ve done such a great job adding so much color!
Lots of Love,
