You guys. Today is the day that our store finally opens. I shouldn’t say “finally” this dream actually just started a few months ago, we just got our building not too long ago, & in a very small amount of time we threw together something quite fantastic. Today we open the doors to the public & share this little cottage of ours with the public & that is quite an amazing feeling. We are exhausted, we are worn out, & we are drained, but we are so ready! I am so proud of us & what we have accomplished in a short amount of time. My biggest lesson with having a short amount of time to open the store is that it doesn’t have to be perfect the first day. The first day is only the beginning of a huge adventure ahead of us. We will have tons of time to make changes to the store, to grow, to adapt, to change, but today it’s all about just getting the store open. Here are a few quick shots we snapped before leave the store last night & a tiny sneak peek of The Found Cottage…
There is so much more to see in the cottage, but I hope this shows you enough of a glimpse for now. Be sure to follow The Found Cottage on Instagram [here] & Facebook [here] for more daily updates & of course I will be blogging updates on the store quite often. I will be doing a blog post very soon on more about the store, what it’s about, what we carry, & who is in our store very soon. The Found Cottage is a mix of vintage & new home decor, clothing, jewelry, unique finds, & so much more. The store got a huge makeover when we got it so look for a before & after post very soon, progress updates, & posts on how the store is going. I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all of you near & far for supporting me with this little dream of ours. Thank you for all of the sweet comments, the emails, & visiting my blog & sharing it with your friends and family. It all means so much. Thank you. Wish us luck on the grand opening & I will be back with updates soon. If you are in the west Michigan area we would love to see you at the store. See the event page [here] for more info. For now you can follow me on Facebook [here], Instagram [here], & also on Pinterest [here].
Oh my goodness! How I’d love to be able to come visit you right now! Everything in your shop looks AWESOME! Will you have an online store SOON? 😉 I seem to be a constant follower of yours now, after reading your blog and suffering my own miscarriage earlier this year! Let me just say you are an inspiration to me to stay positive and keep….keepin’ on! Blessing’s to you and best wishes for your incredible store adventure, who knows maybe one day I’ll get to visit from WV!
