I was working in our guest bedroom today & I realized that I have never shown our daybed yet! Well, I did on my Instagram, but not here on the blog yet. We have had it forever so it’s a little weird that I haven’t shown the guest room in a while, but I will soon because I’m of really trying to get this room done. Anyways, I was thinking about our daybed & how much I love having one in our home. They make the perfect napping spot, I mean reading spot, & also great sofas if you want to use them for that. When you add pillows, any day bed can become a sofa or bed. I gathered a few of my favorite daybeds above that you can shop by clicking the words below the photo or the individual photos below that. I hope it helps those of you who are looking for daybeds for your home. I quickly snapped a photo of our guest bedroom today as the sun was setting so the lighting was bad, but I wanted to give you a glimpse of the room before I paint this room tomorrow, but here is how it looks in disarray today before I complete it.. progress is key! & the daybed looks done even all tousled & undone…
I can’t wait to finish this room & show you! We have the daybed pictured above from World Market [here] & I love it! The quality is amazing & I love the finish on it. I would totally recommend this one. I love how deep it is & I love how you can use it as a bed or a sofa. It would look amazing in a living room, den, bedroom, office, & so much more. We put it in our guest room & I love how versatile it makes the room. Jose & I nap on this daybed a lot & it is the perfect little reading spot & cozy area in our house. I’m pretty obsessed so I will just stop there. Do you guys have daybeds in your home? How do you have it styled? I would love to see it or hear about it! Share with me in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! xx

We got the Hemnes bed for our kid. Beware–it’s extra long and extra narrow, so standard mattresses don’t fit. And we had just bought a fancy, organic mattress a year before.
I like a “lit bateau” or sleigh bed style.
I was totally enjoying your daybed room and then you said you’re painting it so now I’m even more intrigued. I’m wondering what colours you’ll go with??? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I am in love with all the grays right now and thinking of paint our kitchen (only after two years!) in dark and light grays.Cant’t wait. Spell check is screaming at me in gyrating red lines to ‘correct’ but in Ireland we spell it ‘colours’and ‘neighbours’ and i fear the nun who taught us would turn in her grave if I spelled them any other way haha. Great blog post as always

For my fourteenth birthday I asked to redecorate my room (too much HGTV at too young of an age? ha!) and we got a daybed very similar to the Savannah Daybed you have pictured. I loved that thing, and it came with a trundle bed which was handy. I’m pretty sure I “styled” it with a homemade white duvet cover with ribbon trim. The rest of the room was not cottage style AT ALL (yellow walls and a jute rug?!) but hey, my fourteen year old self loved it 🙂
tyvm!
Really good info. Thanks!
