I’m back again today with part two of the unseen footage of our 1800’s farmhouse. You know, the parts of our farmhouse that I’m not blogging, instagramming, & face-booking daily. I started this series so that you could see more of our house than just the pretty spaces or just the rooms we are currently working on. It’s always fun to see the behind the scenes especially in an old farmhouse in my humble opinion. Last time I showed you guys the upstairs hallway that I had never shared with you guys & that is untouched. Today I want to show you one of the rooms at the end of that hallway, our upstairs guest bedroom…
Ps. Remember this bed from our last house master bedroom?
This room has nothing in it, but a bed that was from our last house. The only reason this bed is in here is because when we are working on our master bedroom at times we sleep in here. This room was the most shocking when we came to tour the house. only because the rest of the house had been mostly “neutralized” but the hallway, guest bathroom, & guest bedroom upstairs were all left alone. The blue carpet and blue wallpaper are so charming & I actually appreciate the cottage vibe that is in this space. The views in this room are the best in the house. The back window looks over the pastures and has the best view of the sunrises. The side windows look over the barn, orchard, & now our bee hives. Honestly I talk about wanting our master bedroom back here all the time now because the views are so much better than the current master bedroom. I also think I like this room because its cozy and smaller. The master bedroom now is triple this size & is so much bigger than we are used to.
Our dream when we moved into this house was to hopefully have this room be a nursery some day & I often dream of what we will do to this space once we get our hands on it. Don’t tell Jose, but I already ripped up the carpet in the bedroom to see what kind of flooring is underneath the carpet, but all I found so far was subfloor & I didn’t feel like going any further. We will save that for a later day. So, there you have it, more unseen footage of white cottage farm… the upstairs guest bedroom. Aren’t you so excited for me to get my hands on this space?! I’m kind of dying now as I write this post… I want to start re-doing all the rooms!! Maybe once we finally get a kitchen we can start haha. Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog today & for following along with our 1800’s farmhouse fixer upper. Be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram for more behind the scenes.

Please tell me where you purchased the bed in your guest room? I have been married 37 years and never had a bed frame.
Thank you for your time, Laura Boller
