You guys know my obsession with cubbies… in fact I was looking around our house today & I noticed we have quite a few. It happens! I start collecting things & before you know it.. there are 8 cubbies & cubby drawers lying around the house & here we are. oops. Well, this past week Jose must have been feeling inspired by all the cubbies because he recently built a DIY Cubby Drawers, a decorative one & I wanted to share it with you guys today…
How cute is this little guy?! It was one of those projects that he surprised me with & I was obsessed. I love seeing how his mind works and the things he comes up with. This cubby is quite adorable & I styled it in our kitchen next to our stove & fridge area. I used the berry baskets from Target [HERE #AF], of course my Magnolia cookbook [HERE] that is always around in the kitchen, & the other star of the show is this sweet lemon painting that my friend Layla from The Lettered Cottage [HERE] sent me. Seriously the sweetest little corner & of course it shows off the cubbies Jose made so well. I love the leather pull idea that he had with it & I think it adds that masculine touch to the piece. He used Dixie Belle Paint in the color in drop cloth with the crackle method they have which turned out amazing. Yup, he even painted it.. why am I here. haha I helped a little I guess. You guys can see how he made these sweet little mini card catalog on our farm blog [HERE]. He even drew some plans out for you guys which is super fun. I hope you enjoy!!
Cubbies are so great for many things, but I imagined this one behind used in a kitchen for tea & spice storage. But imagine a cubby system in a craft room, garden shed for seeds, or even just for pretty decor. Do you have a cubby drawer obsession like me? A lot of people have been making comments on where they can find all of the cubbies & cubby drawers [our card catalogs & other drawers in our home] in our home… so if you can’t find any, I hope this inspires you to make your own! Thank you guys SO MUCH for stopping by the blog today & for checking out our farm blog as well. Thanks for being here & for stopping by daily to see what we are up to.. it means a lot! xx
