We are still in Texas. Ya’ll it’s hot here. 105 degrees today. How do you guys do this all the time? I’m weaker than you & I look up to you! You are a better human. Anyways… Guess what? We are so lucky to have our amazing builder at the house while we are gone working hard on our big door project going on the front of our house. Today I just wanted to share with you a super quick update on the progress of that because the last time I showed you this project last week it was looking a little rough…
This is what it looked liked last week…
& now…
Looking pretty good huh? First we got all the doors put in across the entire front of the front living room & entryway. You can read why we did this project [HERE]. So the doors are in & that little wall are out. now we have to put up all that shiplap, trim the doors out, & then paint & do a few repairs. A lot of this will already be done by the time we get home so I can not tell you how excited I am to see it when we get home! I quickly snapped these photos before we left to show you the progress & I hope you are as excited as I am to see the updates today & when we get home! Here is how the door progress is looking on the outside….
Again, more painting to do out there so the doors, trim, & siding all match, but it’s already looking so good! This is a huge project & it’s one of those projects that takes a lot of time & a little money, but will be so worth it in the end!! There is already so much more light in this room.. my heart is so happy! Ok, told you that would be a quick update! I will be back soon with all of the details once it’s done about the doors, what I learned from this project, a break down of it all, & more. I hope you guys enjoyed seeing it & THANK YOU for stopping by the bog today & every day to see what we are up to.. it means the world to me! xx

All I can say is…..WOW! What a difference that reno makes to both the inside and out. So beautiful. Well Liz , you and Jose have gone and done it again, you’ve made ‘my’ dream house even more dreamer! Continue to have a blast in Texas.?
Amazing transformation. You really know what you’re doing. Just fantastic.
Yes, you were correct in the addition of the French doors. The photo of the exterior view, love. I am enjoying your work and posts. Thanks.
So glad you are enjoying Texas! It is my home. A little hot and humid, but we learn to deal with it. Have a nice visit and do come back!
WowI The transformation inside is out of this world but when you look at from the outside!!!!!??? Speechless! xoxo
That is so beautiful, what a transformation. You guys really have a beautiful place
Texas is hot !!! But , I LOVED visiting there. Thank you for all you share… you are a strong woman. I don’t have your same experiences or walk your journey but, I am encouraged every time I read your blog or see your stories. Your faith and courage shows that life moves forward and there is joy in everyday.
Of course I am also very inspired by your decorating and farm life!!! I always look forward to what you and Jose have planned on your farm.
I do have one question… as a giant breed owner (I have a Newfoundland and a St. Bernard) I wonder how you are able to keep your furniture and home so white! I am constantly cleaning my white walls and everything else!
Really one if your best design choices yet! Wow! What a dreamy space
Going to be so beautiful Liz, I wish I knew how to put things together like you. I don’t have a lot of confidence in my ideas-always second guessing. What color white do you prefer in your home?
I’m drooling over all of the delicious natural light you’re going to have with those new doors!
What a stunning transformation! All that natural light is so welcoming!
Boy Liz the doors are amazing. I have three sets of doors in my new house as well and I love them. Those curtains you have hanging did you get them from Pier 1? They look just like the ones I have in my up stairs tv room. Love them as well.
