A few weeks ago I announced at my Facebook page that a lovely piece of furniture was delivered to our house for our office. Well, I haven’t blogged it because quite frankly I haven’t done anything to our office. Things have not been organized, it hasn’t really been decorated, & nothing is where I want it to be, but I couldn’t keep this piece of furniture to myself any longer! So today I am showing you a quick glimpse of it before I get it all organized & sorted. Because we can’t wait for everything to be perfect right? Actually… tonight I was out and about & I accidentally stopped at Home Goods {does that ever happen to you too? OOPS!} & I picked up two large boxes for the top of the bookshelf. When I got home it was too dark to take photos of it, but I will take some tomorrow & update the blog post with them then. Anyways, that’s just proof that things are changing here every second of the day. An hour after these photos were taken, the space had already had an upgrade. Anyways, here is one wall in our office with our new large craft room bookshelf that is going to store all of our craft & DIY supplies…
Isn’t she beautiful? We got this lovely beast from Birch Lane which is Wayfair’s newest lifestyle brand that offers timeless home decor. I love how solid, rustic, & elegant this bookshelf is. & can we talk about all the storage space? Our office in the lower level of our home currently does not have a closet which I was so scared about. I mean, I have a ton of stuff & my craft closet is always messy. Right now things are kind of scattered on the bookshelf from how we unpacked it when we moved into the house 2 months ago, but soon I hope to have it super organized & looking fly.
The bookshelf has got me inspired to actually start working on our office! Lately I have been coming in this room to paint or work on a project & when I’m done the light turns off & I shut the door. I want this room to be pretty, inspiring, & a place I want to be in 24/7. This new bookshelf is a great start. What do you think of our new bookshelf? It’s been a blessing to us because imagine all this stuff sitting on the floor because we do not have a closet. Imagine it. Not pretty! I will be updating about the bookshelf soon with some better photos & when we organize it in a better way. Like I said before, I can’t always wait for things to be perfect before I share right? That’s just no fun. I’m thankful that I found Birch Lane, but I now I have a new addiction to their website which is never good. Or is it. Let me know what you guys think of the bookshelf in the comments below, on Facebook, & on Instagram! xx
UPDATE: & as I promised here are some updated photos I took this morning with the new green crates I picked up at Home Goods. Soon they will be holding lots of my junk… I mean lovely stuff.

I adore this little space and that bookshelf! Gorgeous as always Liz!
This looks great! Nice job!
I love Birch Lane too and really love the book shelf you bought! I love all the neat places you find such cool stuff for your home. You have great taste! 🙂
This is my first time commenting on your blog, although I have been following it for awhile. I was always a little afraid about commenting, but other folk seem to comment what I think too, so here I am making my comments. Love, love, love your new bookshelf and all your styling and decorating. You have an amazing eye and just love everything you do! You are truly an inspiration and I look forward to seeing your blog everyday.
The new bookshelf is way cool! I love the design and the sturdy look it has, yet it doesn’t look like it belongs in a garage. The wood ir gorgeous. If you needed storage, that more than fills the bill, I can’t believe how much stuff you have in there, but it is all so organized and right at your fingertips. The green crates you added are perfect, like icing! I so wish there was a Home Goods store where I live, the closest is about 80 miles away. I’m also going right now to check out the Birch Lane line at Wayfair…hope it doesn’t become a new obsession! Lovin’ that bookshelf!
Beautiful book shelf! Just looked at the price though and holy moly! Definitely cant afford it, but its gorgeous! Gonna have to make a similar one myself 😉 Love your craft room!!
