We are currently in Boston getting ready to makeover a lovely readers sunroom, but you know that I always love & try to blog wherever I am, because again, it’s my happy place. So today I wanted to share a piece of furniture that I painted recently & that I loved! Ps. I’ll be sharing all about the sunroom makeover with Lowes so no worries! I have been trying to experiment with some new colors lately & I wanted to try a green. Of course I wanted it to be subtle so I picked up Maison Blanche Spanish moss which is my perfect green because it’s a super neutral green that blends in nicely with our decor. I had an end table waiting to get some love in our garage so I decided to try my new green paint on it. Oh, & a nice hardware change like in my recent post [here], helps really give the table a new life too!
To get this look I painted the entire table in a couple layers of the Maison Blanche spanish moss. After the paint was dry I sanded the piece to give it a distressed look. I then waxed the entire piece with Maison Blanche dark wax to make the piece look more distressed & to seal the piece. I wanted a hardware change so I decided to use these arrow pulls that I got from Hobby Lobby. I think they paired perfect with the paint finish & I love how this piece turned out. Here is what the piece looked like before I got my hands on it….
& after I worked some fun magic on the piece…
I styled this piece in our living room, but sadly I don’t think this small piece can stay so it will most likely be ending up in my booth at Painted FarmGirl here in Michigan. But I know it will go to a great home & someone will probably even style it cuter than I did. Hey, this counts as color right? Just say yet. What do you think of my end table makeover? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. xx
See how we made this DIY large chalkboard [here].
It is so pretty! It will look lovely in someone’s home!
Cute! Don’t you love those pulls? I used the same ones on a green piece (desk) myself and it was one of my fastest selling pieces yet. I’m sure your end table will sell quickly too!
p.s. I haven’t had the chance to use Maison Blanche but I LOVE that color! Thanks for sharing!
It’s lovely! Those pulls are so great! Have a nice day!!
do you use a clear wax before you use the dark wax? Love this piece.
