I don’t show this little daybed/bench in our home very often. It’s just a little nook in my office that we put this bench made out of a crib in. It’s super cozy & I have napped here more than once. To be honest this part of my office turns into a hoarders corner once in a while filled with unfinished crafts, shopping bags, things I want to sell, & more. Well, Kirklands asked me to style a space in my home with their Christmasland Collection for Christmas & of course I said yes because I love exploring new stores & seeing what they have. If you have followed me for anytime now, you know I’m always down to shop & always down to find a new place to find deals. So I took the challenge. I chose to decorate this area in our office & this is what I came up with…
I wanted to keep my office Christmas decor super neutral & cozy. The bad part is that now that it looks so cozy, working will be harder & napping will be easier. But is that really a problem? To style this space I used items from the Cozy Christmas Collection & these touches of burlap are killing me. The Merry christmas pillow, the wreath, the star ornaments, the cone trees, the bells, & the stockings are all from Kirklands & I think they fit in with Liz Marie style very well. I actually used some amazing Kirkland string lights on our Christmas ladder on our lower level that you can see on my Instagram [here] & that I will be blogging soon as well. I’m obsessed because they look like mercury glass and they are battery powered. It doesn’t get much better.
I know you guys won’t be shocked, but after Christmas I am kind of doing an office overhaul for functionality reasons. You see, with the new year comes some big changes for us that I can’t wait to share with you guys. So, I’m not thinking this daybed will have a spot in this room anymore, BUT another one of our rooms might be gaining a daybed so stay tuned for those fun changes. I’m actually really excited to move things around even though I have enjoyed this daybed in my office. For the holidays though here it will be & here it will stay decorated for my favorite time of the year.
I love decorating new places & I love discovering new stores. I think I’m adding Kirklands to my “must check” list when I make my shopping rounds once a month. The rest of our house has a lot of pops of red this season so it was really fun to do this cozy little rustic neutral Christmas are. Now who wants to come and have coffee with me in my office?! I went in to Kirklands once, the closest one is 3 hours away, and I fell in love! I’ve visited their website a million times but have yet to order anything. I keep saying to myself I need to make a trip there. A gift card would sure help. 🙂

I’ve been majorly loving Kirkland’s lamps lately! I recently bought a pair for our master bedroom and also our living room. I feel like they’ve really revamped a lot of their products and I’m in love with most everything in their store right now!

I love this! Years ago I bought an old crib at a yard sale the lady had used it in her daughters room I was going to do so also in my sons but it has since then has turned into a bench also and the side rail I put to use too so it was like a 2 in 1 because I not only repurposed it but the side rail also love what you have done with the this room and your bench daybed your blog is one of my favorites!
