You know how I always change things around? Yah that. Well, I made some changes in our upstairs living room Christmas decor & I wanted to show you how just some small changes can change the room drastically. I loved the sleds in our cozy cottage Christmas living room, but I also wanted to use the sleds outside on our porch for Christmas so I moved them to the porch & put some other things in their places. When I went to take photos today it was the darkest gloomiest day for like the first time EVER on Liz Marie Blog I am showing you a room with the lights on in the house.. maybe I should do this more often? It kind of gives you a different look at our home on a gloomy day with the lights on. You let me know if you like it or not…
What the living room looked like on a not so gloomy day with the sleds in the room…
& now on a gloomy winter day with all the lights on & some few changes…
For the new centerpiece on the table I used an antique metal tub filled with greenery, some old posts, a Christmas sign from Marshalls, & some star ornaments from Kirklands. That little horse is from Homegoods, & those lovely spools of string I have all over the room are from Marshalls as well. I’m obsessed with them because they are an unexpected element in our Christmas decor this year. I wanted to hang our DIY advent calendar as the focal point, because I was a little obsessed with it after we made it the other day. Also, on the tree I keep getting asked where the star on our tree is from. I completely get it! It’s my favorite tree topper we have ever had. It’s also from Marshalls & is one of my best finds this season. You can see how we made that advent calendar [here], & see all the other sources & the rest of the Christmas room tour before [here]. You can also see where we put the sleds now[here].
I would say that I made lemonade out of lemons on this gloomy day & I discovered that I don’t mind taking photos of our house with the lights on.. What do you think? & what do you think of the changes in our cozy kitchen living room? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. As always, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for visiting my blog, pinning my posts, & sharing them with your friends. It means so much! xx
