You guys!!! I FINALLY have an update for you on our house projects. Lately I feel like I’ve been sharing a lot of fall decor and other decor, but I’ve been missing the unfinished “work in progress” projects and sharing all that with you. Today I have a fun update because it’s one of those projects that’s almost finished! If you guys remember I shared our upstairs hallway a while back in the “unseen footage of White Cottage Farm” post [HERE] well, it’s looking a lot different these days…
This is what the hallway was looking like a few months ago…
We shiplapped over the wallpaper… yup! We brought the shiplap from the lower level up here and it was the easiest way to cover that pesky wallpaper up. We recently had the whole upstairs painted & we painted the floors this past week! It’s looking like a whole new space! We still have a lot to do, but wow what a difference! The paint on the walls is the magnolia simply white like in the lower level & the floors are the same as the lower level in tapestry beige. We still have to paint the doors up here & find some pretty lighting among a few other things, but hopefully those will come soon as well!
This was the hallway from this view before..
& with a ton of progress… here we are:
I was SO EXCITED to show you guys the progress in this upstairs hallway because it’s just one step closer to making this house of ours our home. All I have to say is that I’m so excited to walk upstairs and not be walking on sub floor with ripped up wallpaper all around me… it’s the little things! We will for sure be adding character and decor up here asap & of course I will show you those updates as soon as we make them. What do you think of our hallway progress? Thank you guys SO MUCH for stopping by the blog today & every day to see what we are up to. xx

Your home & your vision for it’s transformation is amazingly beautiful! I love it! You’re my inspiration for our farmhouse built in 1910 by my husband’s great grandfather. Thanks for freely sharing it with us.
This transformation is amazing. I am a true believer in everything white ?
It looks gorgeous as always 🙂 you might of said before??? Do you seal the floors with anything after you paint them? Thanks
Wow that’s a game changer!
Love, love, LOVE IT!!! So calm & bright!!! Can u imagine how bright it will be on a sunny snowy day?!? You’re going to need sunglasses!
OMG I love it all – can you tell me where you got the Lets stay home pillow I so love that one ! thank you I follow you but dont comment too much and saw you in the cottage country magazine so lovely !
thank you Liz xx Lorraine
Yowza! That’s a lot of work right there, and it looks beautiful! Good call on the wallpaper?
Your new shiplap covering the wallpaper and everything painted the same white paint that you used downstairs is absolutely beautiful. You and your husband are so talented and seem to enjoy working together which is wonderful. I love looking at facebook every morning to see what effects and new things you have created. In fact, I’ve made your posts where they are the first to appear everyday on my news feed on Facebook. I know you love Joanna Gaines at The Magnolia and her Fixer Upper shows but you have definitely achieved her success and talent in the decorating world yourself in so many ways.. White is the one color that I’ve come to love for everything. It looks so clean and when you add light cream pieces with it it’s not only clean looking bu has a cozy, warm look too. Keep up the great work because you are such a great example and an inspiration to all of us on how to create perfect harmony an beauty in our homes. Your energy seems boundless which is another inspiration to all of us. Good luck on all of your success as well as future successes.
Sincerely,
Pamela

Oh I love it! What a great idea to cover that wall paper! We have used ship lap in our kitchen and foyer! I love the look it creates! We do not live in a cool old farm house like yours but I love the look the ship lap gives to any room! Great progress ! Cant wait to see how you decorate it! Nice job to both of you!

Love it looks so clean yet comfy
New Reader to your blog! I love the all white… Looks great! Question though– will you be painting the wood door?
wow wow wow love it !!!!
Omg! This is the. EST transformation yet! From incredibly outdated and old lady like to fresh, bright and beautiful! Great great job!
Ever watch Anne with an E? Your newly transformed upstairs hallway remind me of the beautiful hallway and decor in the farmhouse Anne lives in! I love it! ( Also love in the one photo how your beautiful Winnie matches/blends in and looks so pretty !!!! <3 )
I too love the transformation and all of the white, but I so hope that she won’t paint that wood door. It’s a beautiful, warm contrast to the white. Love the view of it as you look down that hallway.
