FINALLY!! So many of you have been asking “Where is your dining room now that you turned your dining room into your office?” I’ve been sharing little glimpses here and there of our new dining room space in our holiday table looks season [HERE] & [HERE], but I haven’t been sharing it much because well, I kind of just plopped a table in there with some chairs we had in the barn & that was that. I didn’t plan anything out or get anything new for the space because I wanted to see if it would work for our dining room first. Guess what? It works!! So, now that we are approaching the long winter months ahead where we are going to want to hunker down and start working more on our spaces here at the farmhouse. First stop… the sunroom/dining room! So exciting! I put together a little mood board for the space to give you guys the vibe that we are going with for the dining room to share with you guys today as we begin this dining room makeover process…
Do you like the vibe so far? As you know our sunroom that’s off our kitchen is full of windows on every wall so we have a ton of light and airy vibes so I wanted to bring the contrast in. My design motto lately has been to add a little bit of black to every space & I was really wanting to bring some into this space badly. I’m loving the matte black light to be the jewel on the room over that warm wood table that looks exactly like an antique table [but thankfully much sturdier]. With all of the windows I really wanted to bring in lots of cozy textures so I loved the idea of a natural fiber rug, slipcovered accent chairs, cozy pillows, & other accents from glass, wood, & ceramic. The whole room is going to really showcase all of those windows for a greenhouse look with a lot of greens and natural elements, but also give a sophisticated tone with the clean lines and darker tones. You can find all the above items on the Arhaus website. It’s a great place to get inspired while you browse their website. I’m so excited to take you guys on this process with us & I would love to hear your feedback! I hope this post gives you a good idea of the direction we are heading and inspires you for your spaces. Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog & for being here along with all of our home decor adventures & so many more! xx
You actually make it appear really easy together with your
presentation but I to find this matter to be really one
thing that I believe I might never understand. It sort
of feels too complicated and very broad for me.
I am having a look ahead to your subsequent submit, I’ll attempt to get the dangle
of it! https://radiancecream.net/
I love it! I must admit my all time favorite dining room was your post with the 3 chandeliers!
What do you do to allow the chairs to slide easily on the jute rug? I love it but am worried the chairs eont pull out well. Any thoughts?
Do you ever just have no rug?
