I started this new Instagram that I told you guys a while back about…it’s called @LizMarieBlogShops & it’s basically where I take you shopping with me. I think it’s fun to also do hauls here on the blog once in a while & see what I’ve been buying lately. I love see what other people buy, maybe it’s because I’m nosey or just obsessed with shopping, who knows. Hopefully you all like hauls & if you do be sure to follow my new Instagram account and be nosey with me. This past week I did a little shopping at World Market & I thought I would show you a few of the things I got, not all of it, but you know.. most of it. Some of these items I purchased a couple weeks ago as well. I won’t be showing you the new curtains today or a few other items, but you know I’ll be showing you those things soon… on to it Liz!
The first & most exciting [to me] thing is this vintage New York City map that I got for a steal. So, I’ve been eyeing these tapestry maps for a while now, but I didn’t have a spot for it really so I couldn’t justify the $80 so I passed it up. I went in the other day & the clearance tag said $40, but there were also other sale signs in the aisle so I decided to ask one of the wonderful World Market employees if it was even more on sale. She rang it up & sure enough she said that it was $16. Are you kidding? Put it in the cart. I really still don’t have a “permanent” place for it, but above the daybed in the office works for now!
The candle holders & lanterns were purchased for our master bedroom makeover that STILL isn’t done. More on that later, but I don’t know how or where we will use these accessories yet, but trust me, they will get used. Can someone come over & inspire me to finish our master bedroom, because I’m stuck!
The laundry cart was purchased for our room as well. I really love it, the only complaint for me is the size. It’s smaller than our last hamper, but maybe this will make me do laundry more often? Probably not. It was too cute to pass up & I’m a little in love with it. You know I will always find a purpose for this piece in our house.
& the last items I am going to show you today are these glass jars from World Market that we have placed on our new shelves in our kitchen that I will hopefully be blogging tomorrow! Don’t hold me to that, but that’s the plan. We are excited to bring you the plans & the full reveal. The white mason jars & white stacking bowls are also from WM, but I spray painted the holder matte black. Because I wanted to. I also picked up this lovely little mason jar lamp from WM for our kitchen. It’s adorable in person & gives off the best glow at night. It’s honestly the perfect little lamp. It was the last one at our store so I had to give it a home.
& as promised, here is a little sneak peek of what we are working on in the guest bedroom downstairs. Remember [here] where we decided to switch the office and the guest bedroom? Well, it’s coming right along. I’ve had this idea forever to hang lanterns by the bed, & really thought we would be doing it in our master bedroom, but that didn’t really work out. So, here the lanterns are all hung in the guest bedroom. I’m loving it so far! Now, the window is off center, but I have a way to conceal that a little bit so stay tuned for a full guest bedroom update & more info on these lanterns. Until then, I hope you enjoyed my little World Market haul, & our guest bedroom sneak peek. Let me know what you think in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram.
Everything is adorable – I love that lamp! Did the shade also come from World Market? I didn’t see it on their website.
THAT MAP!! Obsessed. THAT KITCHEN LAMP!! Obsessed. YOUR GUEST BEDROOM!!! Obsessed. I have been looking for inspiration for my new master bedroom makeover, and I think I just found it!! YOU!! Obsessed. Looking forward to your full room reveals! ~Kim
Wow, $16 for the vintage map?! Nice grab:) Our nearest WM is a little over an hour away… probably good for our bank account. haha!
Anna a wide angle lens is fabulous for shooting small spaces. I have a 10-24 Tamron lens and use it to take most of the photos in my house. another must have is a tripod, that way when you have little light, you can adjust the settings on your camera to allow in as much light as possible, and the tripod is a must in low light settings.
You could always use clothes basket for towel storage in one of your baths. Those are really cute but you can’t use for wet towels or anything damp.
Where did you purchase shade.. Thks
Where did you get the candle lanterns for the wall beside the guest bed? Have been thinking of something similar. I love those!
Thanks!
I love World Market and I’m obsessed with your gorgeous home! Is the duvet from Arhaus? It’s beautiful!
Love your vignettes. The pattern on carpet from your guest bedroom jumped out at me. Where did you find that? Thanks!
Looks like a happy shopping day for you! I’m curious…where did you find the oversize glass jar holding the branches? I’ve been on the hunt for something like it and haven’t had any luck. Thanks.
Great post!
For those that are wondering about the lamp shade they do have them at World Market even though they’re not referenced on the website. At my local store there is a display of the accent lamps on an end cap and underneath the shelf are various mix and match shades that would compliment the lamps. Also, along the back wall are a bunch of lamp shades and there were a couple of stacks of these smaller shades there as well. In addition to the lamp shade Liz has pictured they also had a really cute jute wrapped one; I really had a hard time just picking one!
