Guest Bedroom Mantel – Neutral Christmas Mantel

Ok, so remember a few months ago when I was all like “we are re-doing our guest bedroom & we are almost done” & blah blah blah. WELL, I went a little “Liz Marie” on the room [yes that’s a thing] & completely changed the whole thing around & changed my mind on it all. The room had a queen size bed in it, a huge dresser, & a nightstand. It was way too much for the space & I was only keeping that big bed in their to please our future guests, but really I have to remember we don’t live away from home anymore in a different state, & there are always other options, like an air mattress or a bed and breakfast. I kid! But really I had other dreams for this space & maybe selfishly I wanted the room to work better for Jose & I. BUT we did get an awesome daybed for the space that I will be sharing with you soon [sneak peek below]. The main event in the room though? A new mantel! Yes I finally have a mantel in this house & it’s in the guest bedroom. I couldn’t wait to show you until the room was finished so I quickly styled it a little for Christmas & I wanted to share it with you today. I want to warn you that it was the gloomiest Michigan day today so there was no sunshine in this room, The ceiling is half done, & I haven’t even painted the walls yet, BUT again… I couldn’t wait to show you. Forgive me & my lack of photography skills…

Eeeeeeek. We finally have a mantel in this house!! I quickly threw together a neutral-inspired Christmas mantel to share this space with you guys, but I’m sure it will be changing soon & you know I will share it with you then too. I can’t wait to finish this room now because I’m loving the direction it’s going. I picked this mantel up from my friend Abigail from Binks And The Bad Housewife [here]. It was in her barn & it was love at first sight when I saw it. Those lovely stockings are from A Cottage In The City, the trees are old I believe from Michaels, the terrarium is from Hobby Lobby, & that wreath is from HomeGoods. & a sneak peek of the other side of the room? I caught the pups sleeping on the daybed while I was snapping photos of the fireplace…


I mean, aren’t they the cutest? Can’t wait to blog this side of the room… hope you guys love it! You can see the post I did on those lanterns [here]. & a few more of that fireplace in the guest room…

So, there you go! That was a quick look at our quick little neutral Christmas mantel. Glad you guys are not introduced to our new mantel. I can’t wait to have more time to style it, but I should probably paint the room first? Maybe? Listen.. I have no patience.
