This is an exciting week here on the blog!! I will be doing final before & afters of all the rooms in our home as we are now moving into our new, well very old, farmhouse that you can read more about [here] in my announcement post last week. During our move I am taking photos of each room as it looks right before we pack it up & sharing the final look here on the blog. We lived in this house for a year & a half & did TON of work on it to update it from the 80’s tri-level it was to a modern day farmhouse style home. If you have been following my updates on Instagram [here] or Facebook [here] than you know it’s been a bitter sweet journey leaving our current home to live in our dream home, but you guys have been so amazing with all your encouraging & helpful words. Just one more reason I love sharing this journey with you guys. Today I am sharing the dining room. It’s a small room off the kitchen & over the past year & a half I have enjoyed doing so many looks in this room & documenting them on here for you guys. Here is how the room looked today before I packed it all up, & of course some photos of when we first moved in as well…
So that is how it looked today, but let’s rewind to two years ago before we got working on the dining room…
& how it looked today…
I mean. Is it even the same room? The before photo seems so long ago, but it’s so fun to see how far we have come! Some things we did to this room to update it: Added a partial shiplap wall to one of the walls for more detail, got a new slider door, added new trim around the window, we went with luxury vinyl wood floor, & of course added tons of new furniture & decor. Most of the pieces in the room like the dining room table, pie safe, centerpiece, & more were junkin’ finds of mine that I cleaned up and gave a new life to. That light fixture? I actually found in the trash. I hope that this room proves it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to be lovely. We painted the walls & trim Benjamin Moore Dove white for a clean slate & added lots of cozy textures, greenery, & rustic elements to really bring in that farmhouse vibe.
I will miss this little dining room, it was truly a cute little space that I loved. But I’m so excited to show you guys the dining room in the new house as well… I know you will love it! See the sources in the room below, & come back every day this week to see all the before & afters of our home. You can see the first one I did last week on our downstairs living room [here]. Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog, cheering us on during our move, & for sharing in our joy. xx

It’s great that so many of your pieces are “found items.” That’s what makes your place unique and gives it charm and personality.
I love a good room makeover and this one certainly doesn’t disappoint. Great job, it turned out so beautiful!
I was kinda bummed about you leaving this house… I look so forward to seeing it…. I can’t wait to get attached to a new house!!!
