This is an exciting week here on the blog!! While we are moving to our new house, I will be doing final before & afters of all the rooms in our home as we are now moving into our new, well very old, farmhouse that you can read more about [here] in my announcement post last week. During our move I am taking photos of each room as it looks right before we pack it up & sharing the final look here on the blog. We lived in this house for a year & a half & did TON of work on it to update it from the 80’s tri-level it was to a modern day farmhouse style home. If you have been following my updates onInstagram [here] or Facebook [here] than you know it’s been a bitter sweet journey leaving our current home to live in our dream home, but you guys have been so amazing with all your encouraging & helpful words. Just one more reason I love sharing this journey with you guys. Today I wanted to share with you the final look at our upstairs living room. This space has changed a lot over the past year & truly started as a blank slate. I snapped a few photos as we packed it up today & this is the final look of the space…
& the room “Before”…
& after some work & getting rid of the kitchen sink…
Some major points of this makeover that we did was to add some luxary vinyl planks to the floor, a shiplap wall to the back wall, & to close up the hole in the wall from the living room to the kitchen. We replaced the large picture window in the space & painted the walls Behr dove white. Of course we added tons of cozy decor on top of that. The sofas are from Painted Fox [here], the rug is from World Market [here], the chandelier is from Painted Fox [here], the clock is from painted fox [here] & [here], the pouf is from Target, The lamps are from Painted Fox [here], the faux greenery is from Ikea, the pillows are from Medreana on Etsy, & the bench is a DIY [here]. The coffee table, card catalog, doors, corbels, laundry cart, nesting boxes, & centerpiece are all antique finds. I wanted to create a super cozy space in this room so I mixed a lot of my antique finds with a few new pieces to create a super cozy living area. I added tons of texture & even though our move was so abrupt that I never truly finished this room, it was cozy & served it’s purpose. Looking back at the “before” photos, I would say that we have come a long way.
That’s the last look at this room. So crazy that we packed this room up as of today! You will see all these things in the new house, & I’m excited to style them in our farmhouse in a different way. This room was the best room to have coffee in & quite honestly the dogs loved this room the best & would sit under the window on the sofa for eighty percent of their day. I will miss sharing this space with you, but I hope you guys liked it! I am sharing one room in our home everyday this week for the final tour before we pack it all up to move, be sure to stop by the blog everyday this week to check out each makeover. Thank you so much for stopping by today & be sure to follow me on Facebook & Instagram to follow me behind the scenes! xx
