I know I say this every month… but man September flew by! It was such a great month that brought some amazing things to us in our spiritual life, family life, & work life. No complaints here. As always we were super busy, but it was all welcomed. I worked on a few projects & decorated for fall in our home in a very neutral way [stay tuned for colorful fall decor coming your way soon…], & Mr. LMB built a few things that I blogged about. Who knew that when we entered the fall season this year that our kitchen would still be unfinished. Well, we are good at making lemonade out of lemons here on white cottage farm which you know if you have been following us for a while so we have been functioning in our unfinished kitchen quite nicely even in disarray [see my stories today for the uncroppedpped version of the kitchen & the mess this beautiful space is surrounded by. Jose & I started our fall bucket list today & one of the sections of our bucket list is “fall foods” that we want to make. We find that writing our bucket list down along with our fall projects, to-do list, & fun activities helps us to stay on track to ensure more of our seasonal things get done. Another thing to keep me on track with cooking this fall & keeping up with my health journey is getting our groceries delivered to the house. I’ve talked about it before, but we use @Walmart’s express delivery which has been a blessing for our little family because I’m not the best at organizing & planning so even in a pinch I can get my groceries delivered to my doorstep which will be helpful for our fall kitchen bucket list so we can even make our fun fall recipes last minute. I can even order our pumpkins to be delivered if we wanted to. If you are looking for a way to make your fall & winter simpler & slower, I highly recommend looking into Walmart’s delivery service. I used an old wreath I had, a thrifted pumpkin bowl, some vase filler of acorns & pinecones, an @antiquecandleco_ candle, & it all came together in an effortlessly cozy way. It’s truly the simplest way to make your home cozy: bring the outdoors in. All of our design inspiration comes from nature so you might as well go to the source first right? & as a bonus.. it’s FREE. I never recommend buying all new seasonal decor every year, but if you are like me you like to add to your collection each year with classic pieces, but even before I do that I head out to the yard with a basket & some scissors to forage for some decor that will bring our home to life each season. Who needed this reminder? I know I did. Thanks to my hydrangeas for blowing so beautifully in the breeze today reminding me to liven up our home & make it cozy in here. What do you forage from your yard for fall? A small list of ideas: pinecones, acorns, leaves, branches, fall floral cuttings, rocks, logs, succulents, the list goes on…

Our little Mini Bea 🖤🐑 or as we like to call her, mini B. She’s a mini version of her late mama Beatrix & we wanted to honor her in that. “Bea” means bringer of happiness & that’s just what she did. She came into this world in a traumatic way & shortly after her mama succumbed to Illness which broke our hearts. Caring for her & watching her grow big & strong has brought us all so much joy in some dark days here. & a huge thank you to @ourhomeonhighst for helping us with the name.. it’s a perfect mix of all the things & the meaning is so fitting. She brings a whole lot of happy to the farm. Hope she brings some happiness to you too from our mini glimpses of her here. 🫶🏼🤍🐑✌🏼

A @springfieldextrav tradition: a family photo in @thecottonshed booth. We seem to always wait until the end of the day when we are all sweaty, tired, & ready to leave, but we remembered & we eventually got a real smile [scroll to see it] & #10 is our last one. Thankful for these boys, a few days doing what we love, & some good finds that will help further along those renovations of our 1800’s farmhouse that currently is in disarray. Can’t wait to share our finds with you! Ps. It was so fun meeting so many of you today… loved hanging out with you & seeing all the treasures you got too. Thanks for saying hi to our little fam & making this trip extra special for us. 🤍🫶🏼✌🏼
